It used to be a “nicer” restaurant - a place to go to avoid the basic bar food of Lake George Village establishments; but it’s now right along with them. We had a 7pm reservation and were seated immediately. We got seated fairly quickly and had an excellent seat right by the window overlooking Lake George. Every part of our wedding was more perfect than we could have ever dreamed of and much of that is because of the impeccable service from everyone at both The Boathouse and The Lodges at Cresthaven. The food were fantastic, we had the crab asiago to begin with, followed by baked stuffed sole, shrimp louise, and grilled Norwegian salmon, all were cooked to perfected (not dry not overcooked) and full of flavors. They were incredibly flexile and accommodating and worked with us to make our vision come to life well within our budget. Family owned since 1985, the Vogel family welcomes everyone who makes Lake George their home. To say it was a weekend we will never forget is an understatement and it we truly believe that it was because of everyone at The Boathouse and The Lodges.
