The suite is beautifully furnished in a traditional style. We just came back from our wedding which was held at Neidpath Castle. Neidpath Castle sits in a commanding position above the River Tweed. Around the castle there are beautiful walks, town you can walk into in about 10 minutes if you want to do some shopping, go for a meal etc. The castle could use some money spent on it, but don't let this put you off. Beautiful accommodation all on one level, well equipped kitchen with all you need. We will be back.
The bedding is so comfortable and there are fires in the drawing room and bedroom that we lit and kept going.
My partner was over from USA visiting and I decided to book something special. The welcome hamper really made. We did ask if the castle was haunted and although we were told it was, we both slept like a baby in the super comfy 4 poster bed and never heard a thing apart from the creaking floor boards when getting up for the toilet during the night Amazing quirky old style accomodation that you can only dream of staying in so would definitely recommend and can't wait to go back one day. There was nothing more we could have wanted. ....imagine having the whole Castle to yourself? Later I decided to explore he colder parts of the castle on my own but promptly returned after bumping into a few bats in the upper tower. Steeped in history and lots to explore, flat shoes recommended. She gave us some interesting history and a brief tour before leaving us for the night to explore and settle in. We brought our own win.
