Uphill to start with a downhill finish. We’re exhausted and in a state of bliss - even my husband who doesn’t run or hike was reluctantly happy. Tough hike but totally worth the reward at the end. Harry A. Nottingham Park, located at 1 Lake Street in Avon, is a beautiful place to spend a day. We parked at the Ford Garage, so we took part of the Five Senses Trail to get to this trail. It is strongly recommended that people take immediate shelter in doors, or in a vehicle. We kept walking and went behind the lake and climbed down to see some small waterfalls.

There's several picnic tables, a sand volleyball court, playground, outdoor fitness court, and walking/biking trail around the lake. After exiting garage and heading toward ski lifts go right toward church to find trail. In case anyone else can’t find the Ford public garage on google maps, you just drive into Beaver Creek, go about 2.5 miles past the welcome booth and just before the second bridge, it’ll be on your left.

The lakes were gorgeous today. Great, A very low key peaceful recreation area including a lake with a walking/bike trail around it, a good sized park with equipment that satisfies 1-13 year old kids. Stand Up Paddle Colorado Rentals are located at the Northeast shore of Nottingham Lake next to the swim beach. A driver's license or credit card must be held until all equipment has been returned. The park also has running and walking paths, sand volleyball courts, a 9-hole disc golf course, a kid's playground, and a basketball court.
we parked in the Ford parking garage in Beaver creek, followed the road up to the firehouse then it's trail from there. Great out and back! There's limited parking in the lot, but there is off street parking available.

The Town of Avon Parks and Recreation Department no longer requires boat registration. This year's lineup includes music and dance festivals, athletic events, a writing retreat, and a strong man competition. If you are coming from a low altitude It could to be a slow hike. No pets are allowed in boats or around the lake in the restricted area of the park, as outlined in. Follows beaver creek the entire way making for a enjoyable hike.
